Villa IRIS
Olerainweg, Switzerland | Private residence proposal | 300 sq.m. -2025
Villa IRIS is a conceptual design proposal for a 300 sq.m. private residence located in Olerainweg, Switzerland, envisioned as a contemporary retreat defined by spatial fluidity, natural light, and understated luxury.
Design concept
The design is structured around the idea of an open and continuous living experience, with a double-height living area forming the core of the residence. This central space enhances vertical connectivity and establishes a strong sense of spatial openness and calm.
Spatial organization
The layout clearly separates public and private functions while maintaining visual continuity throughout the interior. The kitchen and dining areas are seamlessly integrated into the main living space, supporting both functionality and everyday interaction.
Materials & atmosphere
The material palette is based on natural textures and soft, neutral tones, combining wood, stone, and matte finishes. This approach creates a timeless and serene interior environment, where luxury is expressed through material quality and subtle detailing rather than excess.
Light & spatial experience
Large openings and double-height volumes allow abundant natural light to penetrate deep into the interior, strengthening the connection between the house and its surrounding landscape. Both natural and artificial lighting are treated as integral design elements shaping the overall atmosphere.
Architectural vision
Villa IRIS proposes a refined contemporary living model that balances clarity of form, functional comfort, and spatial elegance, reflecting an architectural approach focused on longevity, quality, and a strong connection to place.
